We’ve Updated the Trainers Map

We’re putting together a database of Train the Trainer sessions held since Reversing Runaway Inequality started in 2015. What started out with just a few T4T events our first year has gained momentum. We’re now up to 486 people on our Trainers Map (there are two not shown in Hawaii), and more than 3,500 people having participated in a training. We’ll have a more precise number and more details when we finish the database. Who Wants To Be A Trainer? And Where Are They?

The Incorruptibles Launch Online Learning Program

They’re calling it The Incorruptibles Academy, the place to go to learn to take back your government. There is a Reversing Runaway Inequality course, beginning on May 31. Other courses are “Strategize Your City,” “Participatory Democracy,” “Raising Small Dollar Donations,” “Convincing Coalition Partners,” and there are many more, with new courses being added every couple of months this year. Visit the Incorruptibles Academy website for more information.

After reading Runaway Inequality, what next?

A friend writes: “I have a small book club reading Runaway Inequality as part of our Indivisible Suffragists Group. We will finish the first week in November. What should our next steps be? There are four of us.” We asked some Reversing Runaway Inequality trainers for their suggestions. Margarita Hernandez said: “There is a huge tax fight right now that folks should plug into. It’s not enough they learn about runaway inequality but now it’s time for them to step up to fight back. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders talk about the plan in a video here. She should try to do short presentations at her local community …

Imagining a World Without Runaway Inequality

Runaway inequality comes at a steep price. The money that enriches the few is extracted from all that we hold dear: our public life, our incomes, our health, our environment, and the education of children. What would the world look like if we were able to reverse this? How is your vision different from the world we live in today? Make a map or drawing of what your community could be like in a world without runaway inequality and send a photo of it to info@runawayinequality.org . Even better, get together with a few friends and imagine that world together.
